Orders over $50,000 receive two complimentary furniture pieces or complimentary shipping, plus a complimentary Cievaro Care Kit.

Cievaro Shipping Policy

Freight planned before the furniture is complete.

Every order requires a confirmed shipping path. The buyer may arrange freight independently, ask Cievaro to coordinate freight at cost, or select complimentary delivery when it is an approved qualifying-order benefit.

A required project decision

Shipping is part of the plan—not an afterthought.

Cievaro will make the buyer aware of the available freight options during the project and before the order is completed. The selected arrangement, responsible party, delivery destination, included services, and applicable cost must be confirmed in writing before release.

Furniture will not be released to a buyer, carrier, or delivery provider until the order balance and all applicable freight, delivery, storage, tax, and other charges are paid in full.

Choose the freight arrangement

Three paths. One written decision.

The approved quote, invoice, or shipping confirmation will identify which arrangement applies to the order.

Buyer-Arranged Freight

The buyer may select and contract with its own freight carrier. The buyer is responsible for carrier selection, pricing, insurance, pickup coordination, shipping documents, delivery services, and claims under that carrier’s terms.

Cievaro-Arranged Freight

Cievaro can coordinate freight for the buyer. The freight cost and included delivery scope will be stated in the quote or confirmed in writing before shipment and must be paid before the furniture is released.

Complimentary Delivery

An eligible qualifying order may select complimentary delivery as its qualifying-order benefit. The benefit must be confirmed in the approved quote and applies only to the written delivery scope, destination, and conditions.

When Cievaro coordinates freight

The cost and service level are confirmed before shipment.

If the buyer asks Cievaro to arrange freight, the quoted freight amount will be based on the order, destination, access information, required equipment, and requested service available at that time.

The written quote will identify the known freight or delivery cost unless complimentary delivery has been selected and approved for an eligible qualifying order. A change in destination, access, quantity, timing, carrier availability, or requested service may require a revised freight amount.

Cievaro may coordinate with a third-party carrier or delivery provider. Estimated pickup and delivery dates are not guarantees and remain subject to production completion, payment, carrier scheduling, weather, road conditions, and events beyond reasonable control.

When the buyer arranges freight

The buyer controls and accepts the carrier relationship.

The buyer must provide complete carrier information, pickup instructions, required shipping documents, insurance details when requested, and a pickup schedule that Cievaro can confirm.

The buyer is responsible for all freight charges, accessorial charges, insurance, carrier instructions, delivery appointments, unloading arrangements, and claims associated with buyer-arranged freight.

Cievaro may provide reasonable order dimensions, weights, packaging information, and pickup coordination. The buyer and carrier remain responsible for determining whether the selected equipment, service, coverage, route, and delivery method are appropriate.

Complimentary delivery option

A qualifying benefit must be selected and documented.

When an order qualifies, the buyer may be offered a choice between two complimentary furniture pieces or complimentary delivery. Complimentary delivery applies only when the buyer selects that option and it is included in the approved project documents.

The benefit covers only the written delivery scope. Special equipment, restricted access, redelivery, waiting time, storage, inside delivery, assembly, installation, removal, after-hours service, or other additional services are not included unless expressly stated.

Information required before scheduling

Accurate access details protect the delivery.

The buyer must disclose conditions that may affect carrier selection, cost, timing, unloading, or safe access.

Final delivery address and receiving contact

Commercial or residential destination

Business hours and receiving restrictions

Loading dock or ground-level access

Liftgate, forklift, pallet jack, or crew availability

Gate codes, appointments, security, or access requirements

Vehicle size, road, neighborhood, or property restrictions

Inside delivery, placement, assembly, or installation needs

Stairs, elevators, long carries, or difficult access

Requested delivery window and site-readiness date

Receiving the shipment

Inspect before signing.

The receiving process protects the buyer’s ability to document damage or shortage that may have occurred in transit.

An authorized receiverA responsible adult or authorized site representative must be present for the complete delivery window.

Safe carrier accessRoads, gates, loading areas, docks, elevators, corridors, and staging areas must accommodate the scheduled vehicle and service.

Unloading capabilityUnless liftgate, inside delivery, placement, assembly, or installation is expressly included, the receiver is responsible for unloading the shipment from the end of the carrier’s truck.

Immediate inspectionThe receiver must inspect the furniture, cartons, wrapping, pallets, and visible portions of the shipment before signing the delivery receipt or bill of lading.

Written damage notationVisible damage, shortage, torn packaging, crushed cartons, or other exceptions must be described on the carrier document while the driver is present.

Photographs and packagingPhotograph the condition before unloading when possible, document the affected items, and retain all packaging while a freight claim is being reviewed.

Freight damage and claims

Carrier damage must be documented immediately.

Do not sign a delivery receipt or bill of lading as complete and undamaged when visible damage, shortage, or packaging concerns are present. Describe each known exception on the carrier document while the driver is present and obtain a copy.

If the buyer arranged freight, the buyer is responsible for filing and managing the claim directly with its carrier. If Cievaro arranged freight, notify Cievaro immediately and provide the signed carrier document, photographs, item details, and retained packaging so the applicable claim process can be coordinated.

Concealed damage should be reported as soon as it is discovered. Carrier rules and reporting deadlines may limit or prevent recovery when the shipment was not inspected, damage was not noted, packaging was discarded, or notice was delayed.

Scheduling, redelivery, and storage

Delays can create additional charges.

The buyer is responsible for ensuring the site and authorized receiver are ready for the confirmed delivery. Waiting time, failed delivery, redelivery, address changes, restricted access, special handling, added labor, or equipment not disclosed before scheduling may result in additional charges.

Unless a project document states otherwise, completed furniture may be held for seven calendar days after completion notice. Storage may then be charged at one hundred dollars per day when release is delayed by unpaid balances, missing freight arrangements, buyer delay, or an unavailable site.
